This is our deer fence, Blanche (left, darker) and Rough (right) <grin>. We had to put them in their kennel while we were crushing and pressing the grapes to keep them out from under foot.

Our first year we had a serious problem with the local deer eating our grapevines -- deer love to eat the delicate new shoots as they appear in Spring, which prevents the vine from proper growth for the entire year.
