Subject: [PV-Friends] Bastille Day @ Seattle Center

Two important items this weekend...

Open to the public Sat. 12-Jul and Sun 13-Jul.  Please come by and see the vineyards.  (On Sat. morning part of our staff will be at the BI Farmers Market, so you might want to come in the afternoon or on Sun. so as to meet the whole family.)

Also, a fun way to (sort of) try our specialty wine...
Bear in mind that Perennial Vintners is specializing in Melon de Bourgogne -- we are the first winery in WA state to make a commercial wine from this grape -- all over Europe, this wine is widely known as Muscadet.  Further, the heart of the Muscadet region is the city of Nantes, France.

In honor of the French Bastille Day, The Seattle-Nantes Sister City Assoc. puts on an annual cultural event at the Seattle Center, part of the Festal series.  This year it will be on Sinday, 13-Jul.  There will be live music, wonderful food, and just plain fun!  My family has attended the last couple years and had a wonderful time, even last year when it rained pretty hard...  A favorite of ours, local gypsy jazz band Pearl Django will be playing at 3pm at the mural ampitheater, which just happens to be where the winegarden is...  (Bet you were wondering how long it would take me to tie this all together...)  The winegarden will be serving serveral different Muscadets!  If I wasn't at my own winery that day, you know I'd be at this event!
